This trail is very popular, especially at either end (many hikers peel off to Goat Falls and Profile Lake trails along the way). Much of the trail is tree-covered, and goes through diverse forest. There are excellent views along the way, and at least one stream crossing at Goat Creek (and there may be others, depending on the time of year) will require getting your feet wet.
