Hell Roaring Lake is extremely scenic and, if you're willing to drive the rough road to the upper trailhead, as accessible as any lake in the Sawtooth Wilderness. Beginning at the lower trailhead adds three miles of easy hiking to make the round trip a moderately long day hike. The trail from the upper trailhead has one high stream crossing on a log bridge but it's well built to make this an excellent hike for inexperienced hikers.
